Where can I make a sports bet in Iowa?

Iowa legalized sports betting in August 2019, both online and retail. The in-person registration requirement for online betting expired on January 1, 2021. In 2021, Iowa recorded over $2 billion in total bets. Despite not having a home pro sports team, Iowa allows betting on both pro and college sports. High school sports and entertainment-related events are not eligible for betting in Iowa. To legally bet on sports in Iowa, you must be at least 21 years old. Iowa’s license fee for sports betting is $45,000, and the state taxes sports betting revenue at a rate of 6.75%.
